Jamey Wolff

Jamey Wolff is a Maryland transplant now based in Western Massachusetts. Before relocating, he played for years in a band called The Inflatable Lovers. He is now returning to music with a clearer focus and an integrity catalyzed by the birth of his daughter, following a years-long struggle with substance abuse and mental health issues. His music lands in the wheelhouse of Indie Alternative Rock and Lo-Fi Ethereal Folk, with a strict focus on lyricism and a heavy emphasis on melody.

Writing songs since before elementary school, Wolff attributes his creativity to "automatic writing" and deeply resonates with the bygone genre tag "New Sincerity." Having long eschewed traditional marketing channels and avoided social media, he is now making the standard rounds in an attempt to gain traction—a pivot he views as a duty to the muse. After all: technicians work with technology, electricians work with electricity, and muse-icians work with the muse.

Labeled a savant throughout his childhood and schooling, Wolff is presently focused on recording and performing songs for anyone who will listen. Having seen the insides of jail cells, psych wards, and rehab facilities, he openly shares how specific artists' albums were a source of hope and a light in a dark tunnel during his hardest moments. Inspired especially by musicians who made it to the other side of similar struggles, Wolff hopes to pay it forward and throw his own name into that same hat.
